Emcosafe is a specialised supplier of emergency lighting products and systems, and our brand has been operating in the UK market for well over two decades.  Tens of thousands of Emcosafe products have been sold during that time.

Quality Assurance

Our products are third-party tested in accredited test-houses for UKCA compliance, and we are members of an approved WEEE scheme covering end-of-life disposal.

Our business is a member of the Lighting Industry Association and is a member of the Lighting Industry Association Quality Assurance programme.

We conform to several modules under that QA programme for the manufacture of domestic and commercial luminaires including specifically; Module 6a Manufacturer of Emergency Luminaires and Module 7 Outsource Supply of Lighting Products thus covering products manufactured or assembled in-house, and products sourced as finished products for resale.

As a keen adopter of the latest technologies, we moved into using LED light sources for emergency lighting early on in their introduction to the commercial lighting market.

Self-Contained Emergency Luminaires

For environmental reasons, and to deliver the best performance from our products, we moved to LiFePO4 or Li-ion batteries across our ranges.  This allows us to have compact designs and battery packs with longer life expectancy than older chemical technologies and chargers that use less energy.

These moves have also enabled us to offer a 5-year warranty on our emergency lighting products and their battery packs across the product range.

Many of our emergency lights have an automatic self-test feature built into them and, on most, the installer can select either self-testing or manual testing modes easily when installing the product.

We can also provide products for hard-wired and wireless networked systems including DALI, Casambi, and several other protocols.

Central Power Systems

For central battery systems and static inverters, we offer a range of services including regular maintenance contracts, fault diagnosis and, where possible, on-site repairs, new systems, and replacement batteries for existing systems including delivery, battery installation, and commissioning.

Sustainability

By keeping waste within our operations to a minimum, using battery technology that eliminates heavy metals, adopting the latest technologies to reduce energy use and optimise product life, reducing plastic product packaging, and using recyclable materials wherever possible, we seek to reduce the environmental impact of our business and our products.
